711 PVC Weld on Pre adhesive for PVC Pipe Fitting
What is PVC adhesive?
PVC adhesive is a type of adhesive specifically used for bonding PVC materials. Its main component is polyvinyl chloride resin, and its appearance is a fully transparent viscous liquid. PVC adhesives are usually refined based on the principle of dissolution of PVC solvents and solutes, and are specifically developed to solve the problem of difficult adhesion of PVC materials.
There are various types of PVC adhesives, including emulsion type, solvent type, and reactive type:
Water emulsion adhesive uses water as the dispersing medium, and the product is non-toxic and low-cost, but its water resistance is poor. After soaking in water, the adhesive strength will significantly decrease, such as water-based acrylic ester 3.
Solvent based adhesives mainly include polyvinyl acetate and chloroprene rubber adhesives.
Reactive adhesives include polyurethane adhesive series 3.
PVC adhesive has a wide range of applications in industrial settings, such as sealing and bonding PVC pipes, as well as bonding and sealing other PVC products.
Precautions for Summer Construction
Before use, store the adhesive and pre adhesive indoors or in a cool place;
If conditions permit, store the pipes and fittings indoors or in a cool place;
3. Use a damp cloth to wipe the bonding area of the pipe fittings to cool them down, but wait until they are completely dry before applying the adhesive;
4. Try to install it in the morning or evening when the temperature is lower;
5. When the adhesive is still wet, bonding should be carried out. If bonding large-diameter pipes, multiple people must cooperate to complete it;
6. Choose adhesives with high viscosity, as they dry slowly and can provide longer working time;
7. The lid must be tightly closed. After solvent evaporation, the adhesive will thicken and its effectiveness will decrease. Do not add diluents to change viscosity, otherwise it may cause significant changes in performance.
Winter construction precautions
1. Pipes and fittings should be stored in warmer places as much as possible;
2. Cover the adhesive tightly and store it in a place between 5-33 ℃. Before use, confirm that the adhesive can flow freely; When the glue becomes very viscous due to weather, it can be moved to room temperature and left for a period of time until it returns to normal viscosity before use;
3. At low temperatures, the hardness of the pipe surface will increase, and the softening and penetration of the adhesive will be slower than at room temperature. Therefore, pre adhesive is needed to soften the pipe surface first, and more time is needed for curing and drying after bonding;
4. Choose to use pre adhesive P-70 with better performance under low temperature conditions.
5. If the temperature is too low, the pre adhesive and bonding agent can be moved indoors and slowly heated up. Do not use methods such as open flame heating to quickly heat up.
