UPVC PP PVDF SUS304 Diaphragm Type Pulsation Damper for dosing metering pump
Products Features
Diaphragm type pulse dampeners reduce 95% of the pulsations generated by the operation of reciprocating pumps such as metering pumps or diaphragm pumps.
Precharging about 50-70% of the system pressure before use. (70% of the system pressure before installing the pump, 50% of the system pressure after installing the pump).
It can avoid the water hammer phenomenon of the system, reduce the vibration of the pipeline, stabilize the flow rate and protect the precision instruments.
What is the working Principle of diaphragm type pulse dampers?
According to Boyle's law PV=P,V,,, the volume of the gas and gas pressure is inversely proportional to the volume of the gas, by changing the volume of the gas to smooth the pipeline pulsation. For the flow rate has a sinusoidal system effect, the peak: the gas chamber volume becomes smaller. the pulse damper to absorb the excess flow of liquid; wave valley: the gas chamber volume becomes larger, the release of stored liquid, thus achieving the effect of smoothing the pulsation.
How to use diaphragm type pulse damper?
The maximum use pressure of diaphragm type pulse damper is 1.6MPa for PVC PP material, over pressure is prohibited to avoid the danger of shell rupture. Maximum use temperature is 75℃. Minimum operating temperature 5℃, optimal operating temperature 10~45℃, PVDF PC SUS304 can withstand higher temperatures.
During installation, collision should be avoided to prevent shell rupture. Sufficient space should be reserved around the pulsation damper during installation to facilitate. the prefilling of the pulsation damper with gas and future maintenance and adjustment. There should be shock absorbing material between the pulsation damper and the fixed bracket. It absorb the vibration energy of the pulsation damper shell and prevent co-seismic.
Prefill with nitrogen or argon gas before use at 50%-80% of the average system pressure. If installed at the outlet of the pump, it is recommended to precharge 50% of the pressure. if installed at the inlet of the pump, it is recommended to precharge 70% . if not used for a long time should be released prefilled gas to extend the life of the diaphragm Pulsation damper. diaphragm material for corrosion-resistant fluorine rubber, it is best not to prefill oxidizing gases (eg, oxygen, air). Otherwise it will speed up the oxidation of the rubber, reducing the service life of the diaphragm.
When using the pressure gauge pointer should be a small swing. If swinging too large means that the prefilled gas pressure or selection of small. If not swinging means that the prefilled gas pressure is too large or the pipeline does not work.
How to select volume of diaphragm dampeners?
Hourly flow rate of the pump 60 strokes per minute of the pump 15= Minimum volume of the dampener actually required i.e. the metering capacity (m) of the metering pump (or diaphragm pump) for each stroke 15 can be used to derive the minimum volume of the dampener required to reduce the pulsation by 90%. Note: (This calculation applies to single-head pulsating pumps, multi-head pumps are subject to further negotiation).
